Bang Marc Jacobs

Bang Marc JacobsThe Bang Marc Jacobs fragrance is one of the more interesting masculine fragrances that’s come out in the past few years. Despite its tawdry ad campaigns and awkward name, it’s worth looking into, especially if you prefer peppery scents. It makes a great gift for birthdays and holidays for your man.

The Bang Marc Jacobs fragrance comes in a sleek, metallic container, that looks like it was bashed in in the front. Because of its avant-garde, asymmetrical design, this bottle has a tendency to tip over. You’ll need to prop it against something to make sure it doesn’t spill. Thankfully, the cologne inside is nothing like the container. Im exaggerating a little bit of course, it really is a great design, very nice looking over all.

When you first smell the Bang Mark Jacobs fragrance, the most obvious scent is the sharp black, pink, and white peppercorns. At first, it smells a little like Molton Brown’s reCharge Black Pepper body wash, but it’s smoother, and less sharp. It still smells strong, spicy, and vaguely exotic, but you won’t feel as if you soaked yourself in a cloud of pepper. It is actually a very subtle smell and won’t overwhelm anyone at all. Trust me I really don’t like smelly colognes.

Underneath the pepper, the middle notes take over. These smell like primal masculine woods, and give the Bang Marc Jacobs scent an almost timeless quality. It’s like many older perfumes from the ’60s and the ’70s: a very vintage, musky scent, reminiscent of Beat for Men. It’s more masculine than a lot of the newer fragrances on the market today- ideal for a man who doesn’t want to smell prettier than his girlfriend.

Finally, we get to the base notes: a powerful cocktail of hypnotic elemi resinoid, aromatic benzoin, vetiver, white moss, and patchouli. These fragrances give the Bang Marc Jacobs fragrance

deeper, cleaner undertones, and make it so that its scent will last all day.

If you’re looking for a strong, but not overpowering, masculine fragrance, the Bang Marc Jacobs fragrance is a great choice. Overall I would give it about 4.5 star’s out of 5. Check it out here on Amazon
